Remember the horrible 2005 “Doom” movie staring The Rock? Your head still hurts remembering it? Well, here’s some news for you. Like many of us, Universal Pictures wants to forget the 2005 “Doom” adaptation as well and are planning to reboot the “Doom” franchise in 3D.
Similar to “G.I. Joe 2” (the first sucked so much they are just going to start from scratch), WhatsPlaying is reporting that the new “Doom 3D” reboot is in the early stages of development, with Universal eyeing screenwriters for the job. Tentatively this is considered a rumor, however, because it’s still in its very early stage of development and conceptualization.
Not much else is known, not that anyone really cares for a new “Doom” movie. At this point, I think most of us would rather have a new “Doom” game than another colossal box office failure that’ll soon usher in a third “Doom” reboot in 4D.
