The strike doesn’t officially end for another four hours, but Sony is ready to get Venom 3 back on track towards it’s late-fall 2024 release goal. The film was already in production when the entire industry shut down almost four months ago. Now they are hoping to pick things back up ASAP with the hope that they can keep to their release plan.
The Tom Hardy film was originally slated for a release in July of 2024, but that went out the window when the writers and then the actors hit the picket lines. The new film is being directed by Kelly Marcel who also wrote the screenplay. The story for the film was developed by both Marcel and Tom Hardy.
