When the first teaser for Venom: Let There Be Carnage dropped, a lot of fans were concerned at the level of comedy the movie seemed to be going for. The first Venom film definitely had humor, but it was also a very dark movie. The new film, which dropped from an R to PG-13 has released three new teasers for the film that all, once again, seems to lean heavily on the comedy aspect of the film. There’s even a major highlighting of a scene from the new movie where Venom is at a rave and is wearing a bunch of glow in the dark necklaces.
So, does this mean that the new film will be more Odd Couple meets Aliens or will it go dark and heavy on the battle between Tom Hardy’s Venom and Woody Harrelson’s Carnage? We’ll find out when the new film hits theaters next Thursday.
