Last night, The Muppets invaded WWE Raw. As big as the wrestlers were, I’m still pretty sure that Piggy could have kicked all their butts. Kermit, Piggy, Gonzo, Fozzie, Bunsen and Beaker, and even Waldorf and Statler were there to mix it up with a bunch of wrestlers who I don’t recognize because I haven’t watched WWE in probably close to a decade. Still, this was pretty damned hilarious.
Highlights of the show were probably Kermit and Piggy talking smack in the beginning and Beaker helping to change the outcome of a match.
Part of me wishes that Piggy was flung across the ring into someones head, knocking them out. One thing is for sure though, now I’m just that much more excited to see ‘The Muppets’ when it hits the theaters on November 23.
The new series is set for a two-episode premiere, June 4 on Disney+.
