Warner Bros has set the release date for the third installment of Christopher Nolan’s Batman franchise. Tentatively, fans can expect the currently untitled “Batman 3” to come out July 20, 2012.
There is no official start of production date as Chris Nolan just completed “Inception,” which will open on July 16 staring Leonardo Di Caprio.
“Batman 2” is expected to be filmed in 3D much like most movies these days.
Accoridng to Deadline, Nolan’s brother and oft-collaborator Jonathan Nolan have been working on the script, based on a story hatched by the writer and David Goyer.
Goyer will simultaneously also be penning the next Superman installment, titled “Man Of Steel,” which is being mentored by Nolan based on an idea he and Goyer hatched together. No word on when “Man of Steel” goes into production.
Well there you have it folks, “Batman 3” will happen as with another Superman film. It’s all but confirmed.
