Ever since Tim Burton brought “Alice in Wonderland” to life there’s been talks about Warner Bros. Pictures developing a live-action “Pinocchio” film. Well, it turns out WB has made up their minds and are officially moved forward with the project to bring Pinocchio to life.
WB has also round up a decent creative team with Dan Jinks (American Beauty, Big Fish) set to produce and veteran TV screenwriter Bryan Fuller (Dead Like Me, Pushing Daisies) to pen.
According to Jinks, he was inspired by Tim Burton’s “Alice in Wonderland” and is eager to begin work on reinventing “Pinocchio.”
“I think we’ve found a fresh approach that’s going to be very entertaining,” says Jinks.
Created by Carlo Collodi, “Pinocchio” is a novel that became a children’s book in 1883. It was eventually reimaged and adapted as an animated film by Disney in 1940.
