Warner Bros Wants Christopher Nolan For READY PLAYER ONE

Let me start off by saying, if you haven’t read Ready Player One, make it a priority for the weekend. If there’s any love in your heart for the 80’s, it might just become your favorite book.

For a while now, a film version of the book has been in the works, with recent comments on it being that it might never get made due to licensing issues for all the different 80’s references in the book.

Now, it’s being reported that Christopher Nolan, director of the Dark Knight trilogy, Inception, and the recently released Interstellar is being courted by Warner Bros to bring the Ernest Cline book to the big screen.

Personally, I’m not sure I like the idea of this. I like a lot of what Nolan does, but he’s got a pretty heavy hand when it comes to directing. Sure, there’s a lot of darkness in Ready Player One, but there’s also a lot of humor and a lot of heart.
