Watch: Leonard Nimoy’s Final Star Trek Convention Speech

Actor Leonard Nimoy who is now 80 has officially retired. This past Sunday, Nimoy attended his very last Star Trek Convention in Rosemont, Ill. and announced that the convention in Chicago celebrating the 45th anniversary of Star Trek would be his last.

If you weren’t able to witness history in person, the video footage (Thanks NarutoSeme!) of this monumental event has made its way online. Watch as Nimoy poignantly talks about his life and career. All the while acknowledging and thanking the fans for their constant relentless support throughout the years.

According to Trek Movie, Niomy says his final goodbyes by uttering the line that made him who he is today… “Live Long and Prosper.”

Mr. Nimoy, you will be missed.
