The first mini episode is out for The CW Seed’s Vixen, an animated spin-off that takes place in the universe of Arrow, Flash, and DC’s legends of Tomorrow.
Right now, my only complaint about the episode is that it’s only four minutes long.
The new series stars Megalyn Echikunwoke as Vixen, with voice appearances from Stephen Amell, Grant Gustin, Emily Bett Rickards and Carlos Valdes, all voicing their existing CW characters.
If you aren’t familiar with Vixen, who will be the first black, female hero in the CW’s continuity, she is a woman named McCabe, who after her parents are killed she inherits the Tantu Totem, giving her the ability to mimic the power of a bunch of different animals.
The character is not just limited to animation. Producers have said that there is a distinct possibility that she could show up as a live action character on one or more of the shows in the future.
