They said it was going to be the most way out there looking Marvel film to date and they weren’t lying. the first trailer for Doctor Strange, starring Benedict Cumberbatch, just aired on Jimmy Kimmel a couple of minutes ago and it was great! It’s a big departure from the standard hero movie that Marvel/ Disney has been putting out, but it still has the same epic feel to it, even in the one trailer.
Despite Strange’s origin tale being rather dark, the movie doesn’t feel dour. You can tell that there’s weight behind it, but in the moment where his mind is open and he asks the Ancient One (Tilda Swinton) to teach him, I was there and I wanted to learn all that I could right along with him.
