Netflix has just dropped the first full trailer for their upcoming Addam’s Family spin-off series, Wednesday. Interestingly, the show, which is being produced by Tim Burton, looks like it will be completely different than the way it was initially described. Instead of following Jenna Ortega’s Wednesday Addams as she deals with being the odd one out in a public high school, it looks like we’ll be seeing her head to a school for students who would fit right in with the Addams’ clan.
Joining Ortega in the series are a stellar cast that includes Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Gomez, Christina Ricci and Gwendoline Christie. the show has no announced date of release other than coming soon and that it will be out in 2022. We would be shocked if the series doesn’t drop in October. Here’s the synopsis.”
A sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery charting Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy, where she attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the murder mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago — all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at Nevermore.
