What If? was a great comic series from Marvel, but the Disney+ adaptation left a lot of people feeling like the fact that it was limited to the MCU hurt the end result. That didn’t stop enough people from watching that Disney quickly greenlit a second season of the show. Now, with season 2 getting ready to drop in a couple of months, we are getting our first tease in the form of a list of episode titles.
It still feels like the writer’s room of the show doesn’t understand the potential of What If? It also doesn’t seem to understand that it’s about exploring alternate stories within the established canon, instead of introducing new heroes.
When I think about What if? I think about stories like What if The X-Men died on their first mission? What if the Fantastic Four never got their powers? What if The Punisher killed Spider-Man? Instead, here are the nine episodes we’ll be getting in season 2 of What If?

• What if the Tesseract landed in Haudenosaunee Confederacy before the colonization of America? (Introduction of new hero Kahhori)
• What if Hank Pym & Janet Van Dyne fought the Red Guardian during 1980’s?
• What if Yondu delivered Star-Lord to Ego?
• What if Happy Hogan saved Christmas? (Iron Man 3)
• What if Wanda had grown up watching musicals instead of sitcoms?
• What if Odin & Hela had faced Wenwu?
• What if Avengers had fought Surtur?
