We’ve heard a lot of stories about the upcoming Spin-off Star Wars movies. Most of them allude to origin stories for Boba Fett or Han Solo. Now, we’ve got something a little different. The rumor in question is in regards to the Gareth Edwards spin-off movie.
According to the gang over at /Film, the first Star Wars spin-off will feature a group of bounty hunters out to steal the plans for the first Death Star for the rebels.
Think of it as The Dirty Dozen of The Star Wars Universe.
There’s no word on which bounty hunters will appear, but you can guess that you’ll probably see Boba Fett, IG-88, Bossk, Dengar, Zuckuss, and 4-LOM in some capacity… if the rumor is true.
Attached to the rumor is a tidbit that the Millennium Falcon will be somehow involved, but under the ownership of Lando, not Han Solo.
The Star Wars spin-off is slated to open on December 16, 2016.
