Remember how ‘The Wolverine’ was going to start shooting this fall? Well, now they are not only waiting to shoot until next year, but it will also get a new script!
Word is that Mark Bomback, the man behind the script for the upcoming Total Recall remake will be doing a re-write on the script that was originally penned by Christopher McQuarrie. The basic plotline is still the same. Wolverine in Japan, falling in love and kicking underworld butt.
One nice note about the production is that the movie will be almost entirely cast with Asian and Asian American actors. Looks like the studios have learned a couple lessons from ‘Racebender’ and and the Akira debacle.
As soon as news pops up about any changes that Bomback will be making, we’ll let you know.
