Today, the folks over at WB animation gave us a much longer peek at what to expect from the New Thundercats cartoon during their panel. We’ll have complete details from the panel and the round table interviews later tonight, but for now, check out the video below. we finally get a really strong sense of the storyline that they will be going with.
It seems that, unlike when they crashed on third earth and started a new kingdom in the original show, now they have never left Thundera. Also, Mum-Ra is also there with the mutants. The kingdom falls and Lion-O and the Thundercats head for the hills in hopes of coming back guerrilla style to take on the invaders.
The new series is set for a two-episode premiere, June 4 on Disney+.
