Empireonline has just announced that the upcoming Marvel movie, First Avenger: Captain America, finally has a writing team. After recently naming Joe Johnston as the director, they have now named Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely as the writers tasked with taking on the most patriotic hero ever.
Along with their first script work on the acclaimed HBO movie, the Life and Death of Peter Sellers, the pair has also sunk their teeth into the blockbuster realm before with both films from Disney’s Narnia franchise.
The story’s plot will take place in World War II and will tell the tale of how scrawny soldier Steve Rogers became the figurehead of the US Army.
The film is set for release on May 6, 2011.
