Y: The Last Man was an excellent comic book with a hellacious journey to a live-action adaptation. At one point seen as a possible trilogy of films starring Shia Lebeouf, the show is now landing as an FX on Hulu exclusive. As to why it won’t also be airing on FX, it could be anything from graphic content to the possibility that it wasn’t good enough to make the cut for the cable network. Either way, after years of news and waiting, the show is finally heading our way this September 13th.
Y: The Last Man stars Ben Schnetzer as Yorrick Brown, the last man left alive on earth after a global disaster. Together, he and his monkey, Ampersand go from just trying to survive to being the key to survival for all of humanity. Along with Schnetzer, the show also stars Ashley Romans as Agent 355, Olivia Thrilby as Hero Brown, Amber Tamblyn, Marin Ireland, Diana Bang, Elliot Fletcher and Juliana Canfield.
