For the last 17 years, Carson Daly has been the host of NBC’s late-night show, Last Call with Carson Daly. With the series being recently canceled by the network, NBC has taken a bold move by bringing in a YouTuber to fill the slot. We don’t want to sound like being a Youtuber is a dismissive thing. Singh has built an empire on the back of her online streaming channel, including over 14 million subscribers. It’s actually a pretty smart move of the network to bring in a star with that strong of a following.
The new series will be called A Little Late with Lilly Singh and it will feature a combination of interviews, music, and comedy sketches. It will start airing this fall after The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and Late Night With Seth Meyers. Check out the announcement of the new series on last night’s Tonight Show:
