Joe Manganiello has had one of the biggest emotional rollercoaster rides of any actor wanting to be in a comic book movie. After barely missing out on the role of Superman to Henry Cavill and reportedly suffering from depression as a result, he finally got a good role in The Justice League as a tease to be one of the main villains in a future Batman film starring Ben Affleck. But, as we all know by now, that Justice League tanked under the watchful eye of Joss Whedon and his Deathstroke cameo came to nothing. Thankfully, it was revived in greater form by Zack Snyder when he finally got to release Zack Snyder’s Justice League. Now, Joe doesn’t want his time as Deathstroke to end and he’s started openly campaigning for HBO Max to consider picking up the character for a stand alone action series on the streamer. According to the network, Justice League 2 isn’t going to happen, but after all the success that Marvel is seeing on Disney+, this could be a smart play for fans and subscribers.
