Tubefilter has reported that Matt Lewis the creator of the Atom/Comedy Central web series Video Game Reunion has been diagnosed with Paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH). This is a life threatening disease that needs regular blood transfusions and it’s only cure is a bone marrow transplant. I’m writing this because Matt’s not just some funny dude that made a pretty cool web series, he’s my friend. He doesn’t deserve this. I hope everyone that can help will and remember you’ll be near the top of my RAD list pretty much forever. Though I don’t think anyone can surpass my number one, Pam Grier in Coffy.
Video Game Reunion Episode 1
A way you can help is to donate blood but you have to mention that you want to donate under the name Matt Lewis and give his date of birth (11/4/1979). Also mention that he’s at the Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Los Angeles. What happens is that even if you aren’t a match to his blood type, it frees up a pint of blood of his type and they take yours in its place. For more information check out the American Red Cross resource page.
Also, you can register with Be The Match to see if you’re a possible match for a bone marrow transplant. This truly could save Matt’s life and be a kind of sweet thing to do for a person. As above stated you’ll be part of my RAD list and that’s pretty damn cool too! Below you’ll find the Be The Match website and a video on becoming a bone marrow donor.
These are the ways you can help and I hope you will. I plan to do my part in saving my friends life. I thank you all in advance.
Hey Matt, (whisper) “Don’t make me cancel our blockbuster cards… forever.”
