Necomimi – Robotic Cat Ears

If I was a petite, busty woman, there is a pretty good chance that I would never take off the Necomimi Robotic cat ears, but as I’m a stocky dude with facial hair, I am not sure I really pull these things off as well as I’d hoped. The claim on the ears is that they can sort of read your thought patterns and then translate that into robotic movement of the cat ears. Does it do that? Well, it’s doing something. you slip on the ears and then put one sensor on your forehead and the other on your ear. The ears twitch for a few minutes until they sync up with your mind and then they begin to start moving to meet your mood and thought patterns. This is a perfect gift for anyone in your life who cosplays or just likes to walk down the street and be noticed. Also, if you have a girlfriend, she’ll probably look extremely cute in them.

Polar Lights – Kiss Model Kits

I’m not really sure what to say about this. You can get pretty much anything you can imagine in the form of the members of KISS. I just never knew you could get them in model kits. We had a chance to check out Paul Stanley. He’s a pretty god looking snap together model kit. If you’ve got a kiss fan in your life, you just found an easy way to put a smile in there stocking.

AMT Slot Racing Kit – Chevy Bel Aire

While amateurs can still tackle this model, it is definitely a bit more complicated than the other models that we’ve featured. That’s because this bad boy isn’t just a model. When you are done with it, it is a fully functional slot car. Luckily, there’s no soldering or anything like that required. It will help if you like to paint though, because this model comes as pretty much a blank slate.

Star Wars Hats

What can I really say about these? The hats are well made, that’s for sure. I look silly as heck in them, but that might be part of their charm. Have you ever wanted the Princess Leia cinnamon bun look without the hours of doing your hair? Now there’s a hat just for you. Personally, I think I looked better in the Wampa hat than the Princess Leia hat, but then again, who wants to see a princess with a Goatee. At around twenty dollars a pieces, these hats make a great gift or stocking stuffer for just about any Star Wars enthusiast in your life.

Electric Friends- Chew Chew The Dog Speaker Docking Station For iPhone or iPod

Normal, block style iPhone docks are so last year. If you have to have your phone or iPod (do people still use those?) plugged in somewhere, it might as well be in something cute, like the belly of a puppy (also, available in panda!). This docking station might not have a radio like some of its competitors, but what it lacks in bells and whistles, it more than makes up for in cute. Adding to the cuteness is the volume control, its ears. We loved this for kids and just anyone who has a sense of whimsy when it comes to their home decor.

Crowded coop portal 2 tin lunch box

This thing is awesome, but I’m not sure if it should be called a lunch box. It is a lot deeper than typical tin lunch boxes. You could probably fit a whole cantaloupe in it if you had to and still have room for a thermos. I would suggest this as a stocking and a stuffer. You could fill it with tons of other little cool candies and such. Every fan that I’ve showed this box to is already asking if they can have it for themselves.

Crowded coop portal 2 scarves

I wish they had scarves like this when I was a kid, growing up in New England. Crowded Coop has released two really great looking scarves that just came out and make perfect holiday gifts. I have to say, the scarves are not only very warm, but they are also extremely soft and comfortable. The two versions that are available are a black and white scarf with the Aperture Labs logo and Portal symbol and the one I really like most, which features the chamber squares on one side and the logo and robots on the other.

Crowded Coop Portal Chell Jumpsuit Messenger Bag

Crowded Coop did a really good job on this padded, Portal Messenger Bag. The bag is a great size at 22-inches wide x 13-inches tall x 3-inches long. It also has a great design that not only covers the front of the bag, but also continues with a great Portal graphic on the inside of the bag as well. You can easily carry a tablet or lap top in this bag and still have room for more. We already know a lot of people who are asking to find this bag under the tree!

The characters currently available include: Chewbacca, Yoda, Darth Vader, R2D2, Princess Leia, Jawas, Boba Fett, Cantina Band Member, Darth Maul, and Wickett. Underground Toys Star Wars Talking Character Clip On Plush

If you are looking for something a little smaller than the 9” plush, but is still just as cute and also talks, the clip on plush are perfect for you. They have just about all the same characters and they seem to say almost all of the same phrases. My favorite from this batch so far is the Jawa. His eyes light up and one of his phrases is when he yells “Ooo Tini!” from A New Hope. These clip ons make for awesome stocking stuffers.

Underground Toys Star Wars Talking Plush Balls

OK, I thought that the regular 9” talking plush were cute, but if you really want to give out an overdose of Kawaii this Christmas, you cannot go wrong with the talking plush balls. First, they are called talking plush balls. Try to say that without giggling. Next, they are super adorable, stylized ball-shaped versions of your favorite characters. They talk just like the other plush, but they are giant heads with tiny little feet. You really can’t help but want to hug them. This style is available in Chewbacca, Yoda, Darth Vader, and R2D2

ThinkGeek Zombie Survival Kit

When Thinkgeek told us about their Zombie Survival Kit, I was not really expecting more than just a bit of a joke. What I got was a serious survival kits with a lot of the tools that you’d actually need to get through an onslaught of the undead. The price is completely justified and this is not only a great gift for the zombie enthusiast, but also for anyone who needs to have a go bag in case of a major emergency. Included in the kit are some cutesy things like Zombie Blast energy shots, Zombie Jerky, and zombie crime scene tape, but it also features some seriously useful items like the very sharp and extremely dangerous SOG Tactical Tomahawk, a credit card sized multi-took with blades and a firestarter, soap that comes in dissolvable sheets, the mother of all utility sporks, a collapsible metal cup like they used to have in the boy scouts, paracord, and a survival kit in a can which offers even more survival goodies. This is not a gift for kids, but it is an epic gift.

Death Star Wars Tea Infuser

Got any friends who are huge Star Wars fans and tea drinkers? This is a great stocking stuffer or gift for them. The ball is s simplified version of the Death star and the chain has a very cool looking metal tie fighter on the end. I will be using mind a lot in the future for whenever I drink loose tea. Another great benefit is that it is dishwasher safe, so clean up is a cinch. Great gift!

C2f Ferro Liquid

Because of its size, we really like the Ferrofluid magnetic display as a stocking stuffer. This little guy will drain every ounce of productivity from you as you take the magnets and move the fluid around in the bottle. It is addicting. There’s something about taking a liquid and making it go all spikey and awesome. It is kind of like you’ve got a little chunk of alien symbiote in a jar.

Star Wars Lightsaber Candlesticks

Even Star Wars fans like to have a fancy dinner at home once in a while. For those people, Thinkgeek has created truly beautiful metal candle sticks that are highly detailed recreations of Darth Vader’s Lightsaber hilt. Seriously, the design on these candlesticks is stunning. I’ve seen people pay a lot more for prop replicas that don’t look this good. One thing to keep in mind is that they are sold individually, so don’t buy it and expect a pair. I think it is completely worth it to shell out the extra twenty for a matching set. Also, each candlestick comes with three drip free red candles to mimic the lightsaber.

Little Damn Heroes 1:400 Scale Serenity Statue

This is the gift that is going to put the smile on the face of any of your friends that are aiming to misbehave. This 1:400 scale polystone statue of the Serenity is based off the CG model used in the Firefly TV series. It has amazing detail to it, down to even having a couple little shuttles that are flying along with it. This statue is meant to be displayed on your desk or somewhere that people will notice. It is hand-painted and just as much a piece of artwork as it is an awesome collectible that any fan of Firefly and Serenity would flip their lids over.

Blue Canary Nightlight

This one is simple. If you have someone on your gift list that loves They Might Be Giants, but them this and then prepare to be hugged, kissed and possibly more. I’d push this one into the stocking stuffer category. It might look like a cute little night light to those who aren’t in the know, but to those who do, it is an awesome realization of a line from the song “Birdhouse In Your Soul.” “Blue Canary in the outlet by the light switch, who watches over you. Build a little birdhouse in your soul.”

Jellyfish 2 Color Lamp

We really liked the Jellyfish 2 lamp because it is a neat looking lamp that packs a lot of power. I wouldn’t read by it or anything, but as an accent piece or a gift for someone who loves to play with color, this is a gift for them. The lamp uses LEDS to play with an array of over 16 million colors. You can change how your room looks to suit your mood, or you can set it to change colors in your own trippy little personal light show.

Air Swimmers Zombie Shark

Last year, one of the hottest toys of the year were the air swimmers. They are radio controlled fish and shark shaped balloons. Now, they’ve got a new one and it is a little bit gorier than the ones they were selling to kids. This is the zombie shark, 57 inches of undead mayhem that you can fly around your room via radio control. We love this more than we are really willing to admit. However, if you plan on getting one as a gift, remember that it needs helium. That means you should take it to the party store and get it filled before you give it, otherwise it just looks like a flat dead shark in a box.

This is still one of the hands down, coolest pieces of Jewelry that we’ve seen. We first featured this ring back in 2010, but they’ve tweaked the design to make the gears slide even easier now. This is the perfect gift for people who love puzzle rings and things like that that have moving parts. These stainless steel rings actually have moving gears in them that can be rotated while on your finger. Each ring is handmade and its available in sizes from 5 – 20.
