Hallmark makes some truly remarkable ornaments each year, but they seem to have started the best unspoken tradition of ornaments in the last couple of years. Starting last year, they have been coming out with one ornament that is very cool, but is also super weird for Christmas. Last year it was Darth Vader with the audio recording of the Emperor telling him he Killed Padme and his child. This year, it’s Spock and Kirk with the audio of Spock’s death scene from Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. It is, without a doubt, one of the best looking ornaments that Hallmark made this year and we really hope they continue the tradition next year.

While Hallmark makes really great interactive ornaments, sometimes the silent ones are the best. There are a few that we wanted to highlight this year, not the least of which is the Best Chef ornament. It’s one of the best Scooby Doo ornaments we’ve ever seen and it is nice and light so you won’t have to struggle with it when you hang it on the tree.

Another one of the silent ornaments that most all of our readers will want on their tree this year is the AMC The Walking Dead Daryl Dixon Ornament. Not only is it a great sculpt, but now that there are more and more rumors that he’ll be getting killed off at the end of the season, this is the perfect year to give the loveable redneck some love on your tree.

Another great tradition in Hallmark are their Peekbuster ornaments. This year, the peekbuster is The Grinch, but in previous years it was Yoda and Darth Vader. With his very own Star Wars Christmas Sweater, this ornament not only looks about as adorkable as can be, but it’s almost a reverse peekbuster. Much like its predecessors, this ornament also features a motion detector and the voice of Darth Vader as he tries to learn the location of your presents!

Star Wars isn’t the only big thing represented by Hallmark this year… they just happen to be a lot of our favorites. Still, we would be remiss if we didn’t suggest that you get out there immediately and try to pick up one of these MARVEL Guardians of the Galaxy Groovin’ Groot Ornaments. Not only does it feature a sculpt that is better than most of the toys out there, but it also plays The Jackson 5’s “I Want You Back!”

Look, we are just a couple of weeks away from the release of Star Wars: the Force Awakens. Let’s face it. If you haven’t already picked up at least one of these ornaments for your tree, we kind of have to question your love of Star wars. The sculpts are impeccable, way better than the job Hasbro did on their figures. Heck, we’d almost suggest keeping these out on the shelf after Christmas instead of Hasbro’s 3.75 inch toys.

Disney’s got their Tsum Tsums and Hallmark has their itty bittys. They are some of the most adorable and loveable mini plush creatures that you’ll find anywhere and are perfect stocking stuffers. You can get tons of different itty bittys for everything from Frozen to Wizard of Oz, but along with the regular Star Wars plush that they have on offer, Hallmark has also made four special ones just for the holidays. Choose between: Yoda, C3-PO, R2-D2 or Chewbacca. Actually don’t. Just get them all.

This might be the coolest thing that Hallmark has on offer this year. It’s a set of 5 Peanuts characters who each light up and play 2 Christmas tunes (10 in total). What makes the set extra cool is that when you start playing the music on one figure, the others all sync up and start a little light show that works in time with it. What’s more is that they are wireless! We’ve tested them out at around a 24 inch distance and they still work fine.
Also, many Hallmark stores have a special deal where you get them for $15.95 each as long as you buy anything else in the store. That means you can just pick up a small ornament or itty bitty and knock $10 off each of them.
