Yesterday it was officially announced that Frank Grillo would be joining the cast of Captain America: Winter Soldier as the assassin Crossbones. He’ll be one of the new cast members along with Anthony Mackie who joined up to play The Falcon.
Now it is also being announced that they’ll be accompanied by several other Marvel film characters who are familiar from previous films. Variety announced that Samuel L. Jackson well be on hand as Nick Fury, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow and Cobie Smulders as Maria Hill.
And, let’s not forget Chris Evans as Captain America and Sebastian Stan who will be playing the messed up version of his Bucky character from the first film, The Winter Soldier.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier is scheduled for an April 4, 2014 release.
The new series is set for a two-episode premiere, June 4 on Disney+.
