For the longest time the only place to get some of the coolest collectibles from Disney was to travel to the actual theme parks. Well, according to Variety, there is some good news on the horizon for collectors who can’t trek all the way to Orlando or Anaheim when they want to add something new to their shelf. In a move to increase sales and profits on their collectibles, a set of select items that were once park exclusives will now be made available online.
The items will be sold at DisneyStore.com and the store section of its DisneyParks.com site. Merchandise from the Mouse House’s Disney Store and from its Disney Consumer Products arm will also be sold on the sites.
They will be starting off with just around 100 items, but they will continue expanding the items over time. Some of the items to be offered initially will include customizable novelty ear hats, art, collectibles, toys and plush items.
