First Look At M. Night’s ‘The Last Airbender’ Movie Toys

We’ve all now seen the new poster and teaser for M. Night Shyamalan’s “The Last Airbender,” so how about the licensed toys produced by Spin-Master?

Nickelodeon Consumer Products revealed the upcoming line of toys based on “The Last Airbender” today, including various waves of 3 3/4-inch action figures, as well as larger, action-enabled figures, costumes and other props.

Let this be a warning, while it’s not exactly a spoiler, it kinda is if you’re new to the Avatar world so keep on reading with caution.

Among the toys featured in the initial line include Aang (Noah Ringer), Prince Zuko (Dev Patel of “Slumdog Millionaire” fame), as well as Appa, Aangg’s trusted friend and yes… a flying sky bison! Other figures include Sokka (played by “Twilight” actor Jackson Rathbone) and Katara (Nicola Peltz).

Nickelodeon’s Lourdes Arocho had this to say, “We worked very closely with M. Night, the rest of the Paramount team and our in-house design team, along with our partner Spin-Master, to come up with the right assortment, the right size for these action figures and make sure we we had representation of all the nations within the ‘Arbender’ series.”

Wave 1 of “The Last Airbender” toys are expected to hit June 1, with Wave 2 more inline with the movie’s release in July.
