Funko Pop! Expanding From Pop Culture To House Pets

It seems like there’s already at least one Funko Pop! in every home and office in the country. The figures are a cute way to show your love for your favorite super hero, TV, or movie character. However, that just isn’t enough for the 3rd largest toy company in the world. They’ve just announced that in addition to their standard pop! figures, they’ll also be expanding to their new line of Pop! pets. That’s right, your favorite dogs and cats in the style of Funko Pops!. Why? I’m guessing it probably has something to do with the fact that they don’t have to pay licensing fees to dogs and cats like they do to movie studios. I wonder how long before we start seeing superhero Pop! versions of dogs and cats.

If there is one very good thing I can say about this new line, it’s that it comes with a charitable angle. Funko has announced that they’ll be making a contribution of $50,000 to the ASPCA.

In March we asked Funko fans to vote on which dog and cat breeds we should include in the first installment of Pop! Pets and we heard you loud and clear! The first series will include Siberian Husky, German Shepherd, Dachshund, French Bulldog, Labrador Retriever, Beagle, Maine Coon, Calico, and Siamese!

Additionally, you can find Bullseye, the adorable Target mascot, exclusively at Target stores!
As part of the Pop! Pets launch, Funko is proud to support the ASPCA and its mission to save animals’ lives! Funko will make a contribution of $50,000 to help the ASPCA further their mission to help animals in-need!
