Image Comics’ ‘Chew’ Gets TV Series On Showtime

DC has Wonder Woman and Marvel has The Incredible Hulk, but now Image Comics is going to have three TV series on at the same time.

First there was The Walking Dead, which will start filming season 2 in June. Next up will be Brian Michael Bendis’ Powers. Now, Showtime is announcing that they will be adapting John Layman and Rob Guillory’s “Chew” into a half-hour series.

What is Chew? It’s the story of a detective who gets psychic visions from the things that he eats. While this is great as far as solving crimes, sometimes it means he has to eat anything from trash to a small piece of the victim.

To say this show will be dark is a severe understatement. However, it should be a lot of fun to watch… if you’ve got the stomach for it.
