Baby Yoda/Grogu has been the biggest thing for Star Wars merchandising since before the prequels, so it makes sense that they’d greenlight new products that try to capture the same lighting in a different bottle. The result: Star Wars Babies… or as they are officially called Star Wars Galactic Pals.
The new plush dolls feature “youngling” versions of some of your favorite Star Wars species like Wookiees, Ewoks, Jawas, and Rodians. As the product description states, each doll is “Approximately 11-inches tall, these soft dolls come wrapped in their own unique satchel that kids can use as a carrier.”
They’ve even created a new series of shorts to help sell the plush dolls starring a droid named M1-RE—or “Miree.” In the shorts, she teaches the care and feeding of different Star Wars younglings, and that may even teach your child some self-care techniques along the way. As to whether or not the Galactic Pals will catch on, we can’t tell, but the fact that none of the shorts they released yesterday have had more than 5.1k views on YouTube isn’t a great sign. Personally, we just can’t get over them staring into our souls with their dead eyes.
