Does anyone really buy their soda at the movie theater any more? Honestly, I usually just put a bottle of water in my back pocket and walk so I the already $17.50 cost of a ticket doesn’t turn into $22 just to see a movie. That’s probably why some studios have started coming up with some new merchandise ideas to help the theaters add to their bottom line.
At Cinemacon, right now, they are unveiling everything from figures that work as drink covers to specially designed, custom 3D glasses that people can buy to make them feel like they are even more integrated to the movie experience.
First up, we’ve got these 3D Theater Cup Minifigs that will be coming out alongside both Marvel’s Guardians of The Galaxy, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Then we’ve got the 3D glasses which are coming out for Transformers: Age of Extinction, the new Spongebob movie, The Minions movie, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Now the only question that remains is whether you are willing to fork over the extra moolah on top of the $17 dollar tickets for this merch?
