Is the first ever Michael Cera action figure on its way? You betcha.
Edgar Wright’s “Scott Pilgrim vs. The World” is like any other movie, and Universal is reportedly shopping around for possible partners for merchandising. According to License Magazine, Universal’s Products division is keen on producing Scott Pilgrim “apparel and accessories, electronic accessories, collectible figure, novelty, stationery and social expressions.”
While it is still too early to know if the Scott Pilgrim toys would resemble the live-casting or be based off the comic book series, the potential for some awesome Scott Pilgrim toys and even a super-posable Michael Cera figure has peaked my interest.
This is very plausible especially since “Scott Pilgrim” according to Wright, is chalked full of overly ambition fight scenes in a mix between kung-fu and tasteful cgi special attacks and power-ups.
Everything that makes for fantastic action figures, if you ask me!
Currently “Scott Pilgrim” is still production, and has a hipster cast that includes Michael Cera (Scott Pilgrim), Alison Pill (Kim Pine), Brandon Routh (Todd Ingram), Kieran Culkin (Wallace Wells) and Chris Evans (Lucas Lee).
