Pikachu, star of the recent Detective Pikachu movie and possibly one of the most internationally recognizable cartoon/ video game characters of all time is more than just an adorable Pokemon who can kill you with his lightning. It turns out that he’s also a master of disguise. Well, at least that’s the case in the world of bootleg toys.
It turns out that Toy bootleggers across Asia have taken Pikachu and started combining him in a series of mash-ups with other popular characters like Batman, Iron Man, The Avengers, Deadpool, The Flash, Super Mario, and Alien as well characters from Anime like One Piece, Naruto, Attack on Titan… hell, they’ve even combined Pikachu with other Pokemon!
You won’t be able to find any of these toys in US stores, but you should be able to snag them off eBay or sites like Aliexpress. It doesn’t matter if you call them Bootleg toys or knock-offs, these Pikachus are all pretty damned awesome.
