0211_collectiblesWe’ve seen a few zombies and an unpainted Michonne already, but here’s your first sneak peak at the lead character Rick Grimes from McFarlane Toys’s upcoming line of deluxe 6-inch “Walking Dead” collectible action figures.
The series will be split into two series, a comic book and AMC television series that’ll include figures based off the likeness of actor Andrew Lincoln as Officer Grimes, Norman Reedus as Daryl Dixon and two zombies — a Zombie Walker and a Zombie Biter.
Fans can expect both lines to drop this fall, the first series in September, the second in November.
“Kirkman has created a world that is macabre and suspenseful with deeply drawn characters: both human and zombies,” says Todd McFarlane, McFarlane Toys’ creative force and CEO. “Working with the creative talents of Kirkman and AMC, we have planned lines that authentically represent both the television and comic series — including mind-blowing details, likenesses and play action. We want to push the envelope so that the true essence of The Walking Dead series is captured.”
