Rocketnews has gathered up some amazing fan art of Studio Ghibli movie posters, but done by westerners. The posters all put a much more realistic style to the art that create a much darker overall feel.
The reality is, these posters are actually probably a lot more accurate to a lot of the source material than the films that Ghibly eventually put out. Still, these posters for My Neighbor Totoro, Nausicca Valley of the Wind, Howl’s Moving Castle, Laputa Castle in the Sky, Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, and Ponyo are amazing.
