Talk about having one hell of an unforgettable night. According to police an Arkansas weatherman woke up in a tub with the body of his dead friend.
Brett Cummins, 33, is a meteorologist for KARK, the NBC affiliate in Little Rock, Ark. On Sunday laying next to his friend Dexter Williams, 24, was found dead, wearing nothing but a dog collar.
According to a police report Cummins’ friend Christopher Barbour, 36, invited Cummins to his house in Maumelle. Cummins arrived at 8 p.m. with his friend Williams. Together, they “began to drink and use illegal narcotics.”
Then by about 11 PM Barbour, who had been lounging in the jacuzzi with the other two men left to go sleep on the couch. When he awoke the next morning he found his bed still made and the two men in a bathtub with no water in it.
Barbour began to clean up from the previous night and woke Cummins up that’s when they quickly realized that Williams was discolored. Cummins then became ill at the sight and left the house, eventually coming back to give a police statement.
The men called the police and according to Maumelle Police Officer Roussie’s report he recalled that when he entered the bathroom he saw a naked, white male laying in the bathtub.
“The subject was lying on his right side in a fetal position, his face was blue and purple in color with a chain around his neck,” Roussie wrote. He also wrote that he believed the chain was a dog collar and that he “observed a small ring of blood around the bottom of the tub.”
The Maumelle Police Department is continuing its investigation. The incident at this time is listed as a “sudden death” and police are awaiting the results of an autopsy and toxicology report. No charges have been filed and no one is in police custody.
