If you haven’t seen Cooper’s Treasure on Discovery Channel, it’s a treasure hunting show about a guy (Darrell Miklos) who is using the treasure maps drawn by astronaut Gordon Cooper while orbiting the Earth, to seek out shipwrecks and treasure. Up to this point in the season, they have yet to hit the jackpot, but they have found everything from a pile of gold flakes to a series of several hundred-year-old cannons. With the season finale set to hit TV tonight, it sounds like Darrell and his team might have stumbled across something they hadn’t planned on.
“I was trying to identify shipwreck material based on one of the anomaly readings on Gordon’s charts when I noticed something that stuck out, that shocked me,” Miklos told the Daily Mail. “It was a formation unlike anything I’ve ever seen related to shipwreck material, it was too big for that. It was also something that was completely different from anything that I’ve seen that was made by nature.”
That’s right, while diving for treasure, 300 feet below the Bermuda Triangle, he believes he may have found the wreckage of an extra-terrestrial craft. The find is described as a coral-covered structure featuring 15, 300-foot-long arms jutting out from a center object.
“There’s identical formations in three different areas and they don’t look nature made, they don’t look man-made, certainly nothing I’ve ever seen based on my experience and I have years of experience at doing this,” Miklos said. “We’ve identified multiple different types of shipwreck material, this doesn’t match or look anything like that.”
Still, Miklos has stopped short of making the claim that this new find is definitely otherworldly. We’ll have to wait to see if Cooper’s Treasure is renewed for a third season if we ever hope to find out.
* Sidenote – If this was actually an alien craft, it wouldn’t require the third season of a treasure hunting show from Cable TV. The government would have already killed Darrell and his team and locked down the site.
