We’ve got some great survival tools to help you out during the zombie apocalypse over in our Holiday Gift Guide, but some of the coolest stuff is still in the design phase. Stuff like the portable shelter called the Vagabond, designed by Austin Fleming.
Fleming designed the shelter as part of a zombie survival design contest and it is one of the neatest things we’ve seen in a long time. Not only does it keep you covered, but it blends into its environment, has ventilation and uses photovoltaic cells to help you do little things like charge devices and boil water. All that and it collapses down easily into a backpack!
