The scary thing is that the Muppet Show almost never hit the airwaves. The idea of a puppet show in Prime Time was a big risk and it took some major convincing to get CBS to give it a shot. Take a look at this sales pitch that Jim Henson put together for the top brass at CBS to help seal the deal.
