The first trailer for Christina Aguilera’s new film “Burlesque” is now online. Aguilera will play Ali, a run away from Iowa who seeks fame and ends up waitressing at The Burlesque Lounge on the Sunset Strip. Since Aguilera isn’t really known for her acting, she will be joined by more veteran actors such as Kristin Bell, Cher, Cam Gigandet, Stanley Tucci and Eric Dane.
The film is sort of like a cross between “Coyote Ugly” and “Moulin Rogue” where Aguilera’s character fills in for a lip-sync club and then wows everyone with her singing, transforming the club into a mega success who, *gasp*, is having trouble making its monthly mortgage payments. Very original and riveting stuff!
“Burlesque” is written and directed by Steve Antin and drops this November 24th.
