Fox’s idea to spin Mr and Mrs Smith into a TV series did not exactly go as plan, so it’s time for a take two with the brilliant and always original idea of a reboot merely after five years since the original With Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.
According to Empire Online, Mr And Mrs Smith is getting a reboot. It won’t play as a sequel to the original, but instead restart for another origin story and a different couple.
This time it would focus on a pair of spies fresh from the super secret spy academy who are teamed up as a fake married couple. Although no plot details are released, one can assume the premise is simple: they originally can’t stand each other, but then end up falling in love. Pretty much the opposite of the original that was released in 2005.
Akiva Goldsman, who helped bring the original to cinemas is attached yet again.
