I really enjoyed Pacific Rim and have been looking forward to Pacific Rim: Uprising. Even with the lost of pretty much the entire cast and Guillermo Del Toro, there is a lot of promise in John Boyega as the star and Daredevil showrunner Steven DeKnight as director. There are only two things that bother me here. One is the fact that the teaser looks to be pretty much George Lucas levels of CGI and the other is that their viral campaign runs on the same old text alert number that was used by Cowboys and Aliens. I REALLLLLLY hope that isn’t an omen of things to come.
