Sony Pictures Animation has just released the first teaser for their upcoming live-action “Smurfs” featured film.

Jayma Mays From Glee and Hank Azaria who is best know for his work on The Simpsons also are cast in the movie, which will begin shooting soon in NYC.

A slew of actors have been cast to provide the voices of the Smurfs themselves.

Neil Patrick Harris will star in the lead live-action role and not as a Smurf.

This is a very ballsy move on Disney’s part as that weekend is already chock full of big flicks including “Green Hornet”, “Smurfs”, and “Yogi Bear.”

I’m just hoping that all the rumors are true. For a long time they’ve been talking about Smurfs in terms of a three-part epic with a similar feel to LOTR… That might just be crazy enough to work!

Well now there’s a new movie about an Epic Santa on the horizon and its going to be directed by Colin Brady. It is set to be a very expansive trilogy that makes LOTR seem like an episode of the wiggles.
