Less than an hour ago, the first trailer for Ridley Scott’s “not a prequel to Alien” “Prometheus” was finally released. And… Well… for a movie that isn’t a prequel to “Alien”… The trailer sure feels like a trailer for an “Alien” movie.
Look, I’m not complaining. Vague as it was, it did look pretty awesome. With Scott returning to sci-fi/ horror and a cast that includes Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba, and Guy Pearce star, it is already a foregone conclusion that I’ll be handing over my ticket money when the movie is released on June 8, 2012.
Official Synopsis:
Visionary filmmaker Ridley Scott returns to the genre he helped define, creating an original science fiction epic set in the most dangerous corners of the universe. The film takes a team of scientists and explorers on a thrilling journey that will test their physical and mental limits and strand them on a distant world, where they will discover the answers to our most profound questions and to life’s ultimate mystery.
