The plucky Girl of Steel is about to get really… dark. With Mon-El, the love of her life, exiled to space for his own safety, Kara has decided that her humanity is a weakness and ditches half of her life to focus on heroing. It looks like that is going to have some deep ramifications if the tone of the Comic Con trailer is any indication.
Along with the trailer, we got introduced to some new cast-members that will be coming on board for season 3. Heroes star, Adrian Pasdar will be playing DC villain Morgan Edge. His plans run afoul with both Supergilr and Lena Luthor. Hopefully that will mean we get to see more of that friendship over the course of the new eason.
Alias/ Southland actor, Carl Lumbly will be popping up as M’yrnn J’onzz. If the last name sound familiar, that’s because he’s the father of J’onn J’onnz, the Martian Manhunter.
Yael Grobglas of Jane the Virgin will be bringing DC character Psi (no, not the Gangnam Style guy) to the small screen.
Finally, Emma Tremblay (Elysium) will be playing a girl named Ruby, whose interest in Supergirl puts her in danger, and probably leads to Kara rediscovering her humanity.
Season 3 of Supergirl returns on October 9th.
