Weta Workshop, the collectibles wing of the studio that brought us the LOTR trilogy, Chappie, District 9, and the special effects for films like Ghost In The Shell, MIB: International, Alita: Battle Angel and more have just announced that they will be creating a line of collectibles based on the upcoming Netflix series, Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance.
We don’t know much about what to expect other than the fact that they will be making Gelflings and Skeksis and that they are definitely making the Emperor Skeksis. Thankfully, they will be revealing the new line on the floor at San Diego Comic-Con next month. We just hope that they are going to make the castle. We also fear how much it will cost us if they do.
Funko, NECA and a few other companies have made Dark Crystal collectibles in the last few years, but the last time that truly spectacular ones hit the market were almost fifteen years ago from the now-defunct, Plan-B Toys.
