Take this one with more than just a grain of salt, but it’s such an interesting rumor that we couldn’t pass up sharing it with you. Wegotthiscovered is reporting that when Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) joins the MCU in Deadpool 3, it will be as part of a team-up adventure with Ghost Rider. As weird as this sounds, it gets even stranger. According to the report, The Ghost Rider will also mark Keanu Reeve’s entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
While we had always pictured Reeves as more of a Norin Radd/Silver Surfer type character, we can completely get behind the idea of him playing Johnny Blaze. The report was sourced from the same team that broke the story on Ryan Reynolds’ cameo in Hobbs and Shaw, the Witcher prequel series, and the Disney+ She-Hulk show.
If the source is to be believed, nothing has been signed, but Reeves is in high-level talks to play Ghost Rider for the MCU. This would also explain why the planned Robbie Reyes Ghost Rider series starring Gabriel Luna at Hulu was suddenly canceled a few months ago.
