Before heading out on her own, Amanda Palmer made a name for herself as a member of the Dresden Dolls. Well somewhere along the way she ended up on Roadrunner records, a subsidiary of Warner music
and a haven for metal bands like Slip knot.
She first started to feel like she was with the wrong label last year when WB pulled all her videos off Youtube and then claimed that the video sharing site owed them money. This was followed up by an argument with the label over whether or not it was ok to show that she had some belly fat on a music video.
All this brings us to her performance in Ft. Lauderdale on March 28th. Singing to the tune of Moon River, Palmer belted out a torch song request to be dropped by the label. Then she made sure to tell her fans to post it on youtube as soon as they got home.
