It’s hard to imagine much art coming out of the toilet paper, gloves, and face masks that have become a ubiquitous part of life during the COVID-19 pandemic, but Tatsuya Tanaka has managed to take these mundane reminders that we care currently living in the darkest timeline and turn them into fun pieces of art as part of his daily Miniature Calendar series.

In his artful hands, face masks become swimming pools, gloves become waves, thermometers become race cars, and toilet paper becomes everything from trains to ski slopes. We are sticking to the theme for this post, but his photos don’t just rely on COVID supplies. He uses all sorts of household objects to create awesome images.
