Eartha Kitt was an icon. There’s no better word to describe her. She left her mark all over Hollywood and all throughout American Pop Culture. We mourn the loss of Eartha the day after the holiday she will always be most remembered for. Her version of Santa Baby is one of the most beloved holiday songs of all time.
For millions she’ll always be known as Catwoman in the 1960’s version of Batman. Her purring set caused palpitations in hearts of countless fanboys.
Even at the age of 73, she once again was able to make her mark on a new generation as the voice of Yzema, the evil sorceress in the Disney cartoon: The Emperor’s New Groove.
Sadly, her life ended yesterday after a long battle with cancer. The staff here at the Wookie extends out condolences and honors a classic Hollywood talent.
