Seattle based artist, Mike Leavitt, has a new show at the Jonathan Levine Gallery in NYC. He’s taken inspiration from some of his favorite film makers including: Hayao Miyazaki, Tim Burton, Wes Anderson, Woody Allen, Alfred Hitchcock, David Lynch, Martin Scorsese, George Lucas, James Cameron, Kathryn Bigelow, Francis Ford Coppola, Orson Welles, Quintin Tarantino, Spike Lee, Stanley Kubrick, and Steven Spielberg.
Amazingly, the 18 inch sculptures, which combine the likeness of the filmmakers with their own greatest creations, are each carved from a single block of wood.
