Here’s a little something fun for you today. A geologist has stumbled upon a find that might not change the way we look at the history of the earth, but should definitely help when it comes to having a sunny day and chasing those clouds away.
The Good News Netowork reported that Mike Bowers, a geologist from California, found the rock in the Rio Grande dol sul region near Soledade in Brazil. What looks like a normal, egg-shaped rock is revealed to be the spitting image of Cookie Monster on the inside when split in half.
In an interview with Daily Mail about stumbling upon the Muppet, he had this to say:
“This is very unusual! There are a few famous agates out there: the owl, the scared face… there are many approximate ones, but it’s rare to find clear well-defined like that.”
As to the value, it’s being reported that Bowers has already gotten offers upwards of $10,000 for the rock. That can pay for a lot of cookies.
